ETIP Photovoltaics

June 15, 2023 at 12:00 – June 15, 2023 at 14:00

Side event at Intersolar Europe : Breaking Through Barriers: Addressing the Core Challenges of PV Research & Innovation in Europe

On the occasion of the upcoming Intersolar Europe, ETIP PV organizes a parallel event on 15/06 12:00-14:00 in ICM, Room 2 (free of charge).

To bring a wider array of PV technologies – more efficient or able to deliver new services – to the energy system, certain obstacles in the processes of innovation and manufacturing, integration, and circularity must be addressed.

The Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda on photovoltaics (SRIA PV) helps to identify future R&I priorities and to guide policymakers on the ways to support the development of solar energy in Europe.

The ETIP PV session will provide the possibility to discuss the main challenges and targets (KPIs) along the SRIA’s 5 core challenges for photovoltaic innovation of the coming years. The session will be an opportunity to assess progress towards innovation objective and outline areas where R&I objectives need to be updated for the PV sector to reflect progress in recent years. (**More information about the SRIA PV are available : https://etip-pv.eu/publications/sria-pv/)
