ETIP PV Statement: The Industrial Accelerator Act should provide a clear perspective for scaling up PV innovation in Europe
The Industrial Accelerator Act (IAA) is a key opportunity to strengthen Europe’s photovoltaic manufacturing base, enhance industrial competitiveness, and support the scale-up of innovative PV technologies.
However, the European Technology and Innovation Platform for Photovoltaics (ETIP PV) identifies four key shortcomings in the current proposal, including the definition of a ‘Made in EU’ system, the criteria used to determine its composition, the inclusion of products from Free Trade Agreement countries, and the delayed implementation timeline.
