Rapidly decarbonizing the global economy is a key component to combatting climate change and PV is particularly well suited to help meet this challenge. At the same time, geopolitical and supply chain uncertainties resulting from today’s geographic concentration warrant a departure to a more diverse PV manufacturing structure. Time is of the essence and a close collaboration between the EU and U.S. offers significant potential to reduce cost and accelerate implementation of a resilient solar supply chain. I look forward to discussing pathways towards a more diverse PV supply chain with my colleagues at the upcoming ETIP PV annual conference.
