ETIP PV Newsletter - January 2023

 

Last October, ETIP PV steering committee elected the new chairs for the term 2022-2024.

Rutger Schlatmann, head of the division Solar Energy at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin fuer Materialien und Energie (HZB), and professor at HTW Berlin, was elected as the new ETIP PV Chair. He is supported by David Moser, who is the head of the Research Group Photovoltaic Energy Systems at the Institute for Renewable Energy (Eurac Research), as well as Jutta Trube, Division Manager of VDMA Sector Group Photovoltaic Equipment, who was elected as the new Vice-Chairperson of the ETIP PV Steering Committee.

 

ETIP PV has rebranded!

 

January 2023 marks the milestone when ETIP PV unveiled our corporate identity refresh and got a new design. With this first significant rebranding, ETIP PV continues to be interlocutor for the European Commission, Member States and Associated Countries about the PV sector specific R&I needs.

Join our expert pool!

ETIP PV is accepting applications of experts interested to join its expert pool in the following working groups:

  • Integrated PV
  • Digital PV and Grid
  • Reliability and Circularity
  • Social Science and Humanities
If you are interested in becoming an Expert of the Social Science and Humanities or the Reliability and Circularity working groups, please send your application to Hanna Dittmar (h.dittmar@solarpowereurope.org).

If you are interested in becoming an Expert of the Social Science and Humanities or the Reliability and Circularity working groups, please send your application to Thomas Garabetian (t.garabetian@solarpowereurope.org).

Your email should include your CV and a description of your personal commitment in a few lines.    An indication of which subject you would be interested to examine of the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) would be appreciated as well in the applications for Reliability and Circularity working group.
 

EU PVSEC 2023 Call for Papers Open!

The European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition is largest scientific conference focused on the global PV Solar sector and will celebrate its 40th jubilee from 18 – 22 September 2023 in the beautiful city of Lisbon, Portugal. The abstract submission is open until 3 February 2023 and we encourage all researchers, scientists and PV experts to submit a paper and present your work at this special edition of the EU PVSEC.

The Conference will be structured along the following five main topics:
Topic 1: Silicon Materials and Cells
Topic 2: Thin Films and New Concepts
Topic 3: Photovoltaic Modules and BoS Components
Topic 4: PV Systems Engineering, Integrated/Applied PV
Topic 5: PV in the Energy Transition
 
Submit your abstract now and join us in September in Lisbon.
