Press Release - Yearly ETIP PV Conference Goes Virtual: 'I3PV - Integrated, Innovative, Intelligent' - 4 November 2020

The European Technology and Innovation Platform for Photovoltaics (ETIP PV) will organize their annual conference virtual. The Conference 'I³PV - Integrated, Innovative, Intelligent' will highlight the latest advances in all major Integrated PV applications and how they will contribute to the energy transition as well as EU-based value creation. The ETIP PV Conference 2020 will be held online for the first time ever.

The conference is running in five sessions on the different aspects of integrated PV. In a closing session a live panel discussion with high-level representatives of the European Parliament, the European Commission, and the ETIP PV will discuss “the opportunity represented by Integrated PV applications on local value creation”.

Marko Topič, ETIP PV Chairman, stated: “By 2050, our forecast based on conversion efficiency improvements and Solar PV’s declining cost is that solar PV will supply 70% of the world’s electricity generation. Our conference focus on integrated PV applications and local value creation will show the possibilities that PV can spread across Europe and even all over the world”.

The event will include with the five sessions a series of live panel discussions with distinguished speakers with expertise in the fields of BIPV, VIPV, PV in local energy systems, Agrivoltaics, and PV in water and infrastructure. For a more insightful view on the different themes, all speakers' presentations will be available on the conference website one week before the event.
